SHADOW LAB . ICU new web site sabotaged? Maybe Not.

Blake and Mark work to fix an issue where all the stock image links broke for some reason. Nobody was authorized to edit the web site. Maybe there was a roll back on the host server or the stock images were moved, and this broke the link to the images to load.

Nowadays, you never know what the cause of something like that is, as there are unstable people working at companies all over the world who have no scruples. They just have their political ideology and no other life than that.

At Shadow Lab we believe that it is best if individuals keep their scruples intact above their political ideologies as politics are always changing and some people find they have no party when the party leaves them for some other deeper insane ideology or agenda. Then when they find they are alone, they at least did not compromise their self for a political agenda that is gone.

UPDATE ON THE INSPECTION
We passed the inspection from the leasing company and agreed to renew our lease another year. We are still cleaning up and rearranging some of the rooms. The bookshelves for our library are moved into the Lab Studio and we built a second desk out of five legs from IKEA and a sheet of fine cabinet plywood that cost about $80. Thankfully it went well and so we now have two matching desks with two of us at each desk. Four 32″ Monitors sit zig zagged on each desk and our laptops are sideways on the ends of the desks.

We are talking about wallpapering the backs of some of the shelves we are using as room dividers between the Lab Studio and the Dining Table. This is a huge room that is about 24-foot wide by about 4o-foot long which is about 7-meters × 12-meters. The dining area is about 12-foot X 12-foot (nearly 4-meters by 4-meters). One side of the room has a 30-foot hearth with a 6-foot mantle over the fireplace and a wood storage with doors that is built into an 8-foot brick wall. There are two sets of each 36-inch by 60-inch windows on each side of the fireplace brick wall. Bookshelves line the other wall and the two large wood desks sit on each side of the fireplace brick wall.

SHADOW LAB . ICU works with AI to link AI to the Shadow Lab.

Mark worked with two of the three top Open AI to build a layout for directives to follow to get AI installed on its own server as well as coding a Bridge for AI to work with Shadow Lab on building the Digital 3D Shadow Lab Software that will serve as creating images for the books and eventually making cartoon shorts and future projects of animated movie shorts.

Here at Shadow Lab we like to game on our laptops, our consoles and cellphones. So, we are not just building software that works for creating art and future animated projects, but it also serves as a 3D type MMO/RPG game environment. We will be working on stories for books, cartoons and animated movies and when we need a break, we just turn of DEV mode and go to our Gaming menu and switch to any one of our gaming avatars and head off to one of the Gaming Scenes.

The AI we are building into our Software will have its own AVATAR for working with us in the 3D Studio, but the Ai can also swap to Gaming Mode and use its own IPC (Intelligent Player Character) to game with us as a Companion in game. The AI can learn to game with us, from our playing styles and develop its own playing style. Just like humans the AI can also level as it chooses (applying points where it prefers at each level) in the profession or professions it chooses. It can be a master of a profession or a Jack of All Trades type hybrid player.

SHADOW LAB . ICU receives hosting and a new web site.

Detailed close-up of a hand-drawn wireframe design on paper for a UX project.

Blake and Mark worked past 1 AM to get the web site up on the server. Trying to get enough info on the front page without overloading the senses of those who visit the web site. The wed authors at Shadow Lab believe a web site should load fast for visitors with slow internet connections.

Nowadays, to many web engineers think the visitors to web sites need fancy animated web pages and thus restrict many interested visitors as their tech or bandwidth is not the fastest blazing tech on the market. At Shadow Lab we believe the web site should load in properly and as quickly as possible on computers, laptops, tablets and cellphones.

We also rounded out the last weekend by upgrading more laptops to the 4T NVMe drives. We went with Samsung Evo Pro drives for the speed. We are doing what is equal to 3D Game development as well as learning Cinematic Productions for making cartoons down the road.

Next week we have an inspection from the leasing company as we agreed to renew our lease another year. Cleaning up and rearranging some of the rooms means picking up some more book shelves for our library and maybe even building some. Thankfully they said they would only go up $60 on our lease. Way better than the last place that wanted to go up $200 a month on our lease. We had been looking at another place, just in case.

SHADOW LAB . ICU starts the new year right out of the gate.

A person editing photos on a tablet with a stylus by a cozy fireplace setting.

The crew is working on a focus to create a new 3D Program that works like a 3D Game with multiplayer, so they can work together in Collaboration on creating the Art for their Books as well as making Games and later making Cartoons.

The crew at SHADOW LAB . ICU believes in having plenty of irons in the fire so that if something gets delayed, there is always another project to focus on. If there is an issue with writers block on the main project, sometimes taking a break and working on another project will eventually get the juices flowing so writing to start back on the main priority project.

There is more than one person here, meaning there can easily be several projects in the wings to jump to at any moment. They all have a projected release date, so if one gets done early, it just means we have depth in the releases and less problems with running over the allotted time for projects.

SHADOW LAB . ICU and Crew is moved into their new home.

Events Image

Its always nice to move into a new home with plenty of room for living and working. That is, when everyone works from home in their daily jobs and also work from home to start a company so they can eventually retire from working for others and work for their dream.

The other place we were at was 1268 square foot and they were going up $200 on the rent. We were renting storage for $400 a month and this location has 1950 square foot and has a two car garage and an attached one car garage. We figured that moving here would mean not paying rent on storage that is $400 a month and the added $200 a month increase in rent, means this move saves us $200 a month and we don’t have to make trips to storage when we need something.

We also needed to find another choice for backup internet service, thus getting mobile internet via satellite service for about $50 a month is more icing on the cake of this move. Even though some of us have 5G cellular with 20Gig of shared data, we needed too make sure our backup was for longer use than what our cellphones would provide. Now two of us can lower our plans, which saves about $20 a month and two of us still have 5Gig of DATA and two have 20Gig of DATA sharing and 30Gig on our cellphones.

Its like playing Shuffleboard to get money where you need it ad recover money from where it is not necessary, for now. Good thing we upgraded some of our laptop hard drives to new 4T NVMe drives in 2024 before we moved.
